We are currently looking for a Molecular Biologist / Developer (m/f/d)

This is a temporary position (for 24 months)


In this role, you will have a wide range of responsibilities. You are member of the Assay development team of the R&D department and responsible for the development of in-vitro diagnostics as well as studies with international cooperation partners according to ISO: 13485.2016. Your key tasks are planning, coordinating and performing of development projects. 

To be successful in this role, you will need to be experienced with molecular genetic technologies:  DNA/RNA extraction methods, different amplification technologies etc. (in theory and practice). Furthermore you should be team player, a communicative person with a wide range of technical knowledge that you are able to negotiate with colleagues, external development partners in a friendly and convincing way.


  • Development of molecular genetic test systems according to ISO 9001/13485
  • Supervision of development projects from the planning phase to handover to production and QC
  • Documentation of development projects according to our quality management system
  • Supervision of evaluation studies
  • Guidance of technical personnel
  • Presentation of the development work


  • University or technical college degree (biology, microbiology, biochemistry or biotechnology)
  • Experience with quantitative real-time PCR and/or multi-channel/multiplex PCR
  • Experience with automated DNA/RNA extraction processes
  • Virological background and experience in dealing with viruses of risk group 2 according to § 44 of the IfSG (Infection Protection Act) is an advantage
  • Open and communicative personality

  • You are fluent in spoken and written German and  English (mandatory)
