The Sales Manager Germany Molecular Diagnostics will be responsible for sales and strategic objectives for Bruker Hain’s molecular solutions in the region.  The Molecular Diagnostics portfolio is an essential part and rapidly growing field of Bruker’s Business Area (BA) Microbiology and Diagnostics. The objectives include positioning the portfolio and Bruker Hain as a key player in the molecular market segment. This requires enthusiastically leading and further developing a very experienced commercial team to achieve respective sales targets, and go beyond their established accounts and existing portfolio activities.


  • Achieve the microbiology & diagnostics commercial goals set out for Germany by managing & supporting the activities of the existing commercial team (~6FTE) within the country.
  • Planning, organizing, coordinating, and executing his/her strategies based on product & market goals. Efforts shall include working with the team to locate and identifying new potential customers & markets, evaluating worth of their potential, preapring sales strategy for each sales representatives/region, drive their sales success of company's products and most importantly helping them securing orders.
  • Ensure the whole team achieves a winning, pro-active and coordinated sales presence, including prompt and efficient service.
  • Ensure effective teaming with sister divisions and other commercial partners.
  • Establishing and maintaining a professional competence with latest sales methods and techniques. Train the commercial team to apply these successfully to their territories. Where necessary, adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Provide continual education to the commercial team for key sales requirements and tools.
  • Identify and map the opinion leaders, national accounts, and influence groups in the target market - develop action plan and execute with support of field sales build relationships with key decision makers.
  • Identify funding sources and funding stream timescales, planning for obtaining an early favourable position for these.
  • Effective communicating on progress on commercial goals to the Global Commercial Director, and coordinate together on strategy, forecasting and adaptations.
  • Be an advocate for our commercial team inside Bruker-Hain, help them to maximize their success in selling our products and services. This includes for example being the contact the between factory and team to solve problems or delegate follow-ups.
  • Coordinate with the technical and application specialists to address local support needs and priorities of the customer base, as well as commercial goals.
  • Regular evaluations of the team members performance, skills and achievements. Establish and maintain effective personal relations with each your team members to stimulate team spirit, commercial attitude and shared responsibility.
  • Follow-up with the commercial team on Leads submitted to them and maintain a crisp picture within the CRM database. Submitting weekly expense reports, monthly opportunity/territory status reports (including won/lost sales data), quarterly long-range forecasts, and other reports as requested on a timely basis.
  • Cooperating with the marketing colleagues in preparation of proposals for special products, and gathering of customer, market and competitive data, mailing, etc.
  • Participation in local trade shows as requested, approve marketing support for such with Channel Partners.


  • Superior education (Bachelor or Master’s Degree or similar graduation) in Microbiology, Molecular Biology or Sales and Business.
  • At least four (4) years previous experience in selling complex, capital investments, consumables that requiring intensive technical understanding, preferable in the field of microbiology and diagnostics.
  • Must have excellent customer-relation and communication skills, and the ability to make timely and effective decisions. Must have experience with working together with multiple facets (incl. non-commercial) of an organization to achieve common goals.
  • To be well self-organized and used to methodically structured working, and effectively use time and resources, ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to explain and describe complex technologies in an adequate customer-oriented language.
  • Keen interest managing a team, working towards commercial goals and team cohesion.
