We are looking for an Animal Handling Solutions and Collaborations Specialist (m/w/d) for our location in Ettlingen.

 

The Animal Handling Solutions and Collaborations Specialist is a hybrid role supporting (i) Bruker’s R&D in developing the product portfolio of animal handling solutions and (ii) supporting R&D and marketing collaboration projects in the field of preclinical imaging.

The Animal Handling Solutions Specialist is a member of the PCI Product Management team, supporting the successful development and launch of products that enhance imaging research involving animals across modalities. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, understanding customer needs, and translating them into product requirements.

The Collaboration Specialist role involves fostering collaborative efforts, managing the preclinical imaging customer collaboration portfolio, and ensuring effective communication between the involved teams.

Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten

Animal Handling Solution support:

  1. Product Strategy and Vision:
    • Support alignment of the product portfolio of in vivo imaging animal accessories across modalities (currently PET, SPECT, CT, MRI, Optical Imaging).
  1. Collection of Market and Customer Insights:
    • Engage with researchers, veterinarians, and laboratory personnel to gather insights on animal handling needs and challenges.
  1. Support the Product Lifecycle, From Ideation to End of Life:
    • Translate customer needs into product requirements.
    • Collaborate with application, market product management, R&D, service, and quality assurance teams to create detailed product specifications.
    • Lead smaller development
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to animal welfare and safety.
    • Monitor product performance and iterate based on user feedback.
    • Monitor product pricing and margins and suggest price adjustments as needed.
  1. Marketing and Training:
    • Plan and execute sales and application training, and customer education.
    • Work closely with the marketing team to develop compelling marketing materials.
  1. Technical Support:
    • Collaborate with sales and customer support to address inquiries and provide technical assistance.

Customer Collaboration Support:

  1. Collaboration Portfolio Management:
    • Oversee the PCI collaboration portfolio and align collaborative projects with BBIO’s goals and strategy.
    • Regularly report on the status of the collaboration portfolio including challenges and achievements.
  1. Contract Management & Compliance:
    • Collaborate with Legal, Intellectual Property and Compliance teams to establish clear agreements that comply with applicable laws and regulations.
    • Support contract negotiations with scientific partners and their legal departments and technology transfer offices.
    • Maintain records of all contracts in BBIO’s contract management tool.
  1. Project Coordination:
    • Facilitate communication between BBIO teams and partners.
    • Support BBIO and partner teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

Qualifikationen

To be successful in that position, you will need:

  • Diplom/ Master's degree
  • 1-2 years of working experience 
  • Knowledge of preclinical imaging applications, in particular PET, MRI, CT, Optical Imaging (Advanced)
  • Experience with direct animal experimentation (EU Function A, D / C (formerly FELASA B/C or equivalent))
  • Very good English (C1 level) and German knowledge (min. B2 level)
  • Experience with collaboration and grant agreements (Basic)
  • Customer facing experience (Advanced)
  • Project Management Skills (Advanced)
  • Sales & Marketing experience (Basic)
  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (Basic)
  • SAP (Basic)
  • Microsoft 365 (MS-Office) (Expert)
  • the ability to manage conflict situations and very good communication skills, resilience, sense of responsibility.
