MIRO Analytical AG is young company providing state-of-art laser-based gas analyzers for monitoring of greenhouse gases and air pollutants. If you are - like us - passionate about mitigating climate change and fighting air-pollution, we are looking for you as an optomechanical manufacturing technician to contribute to scaling up our manufacturing processes. After learning the existing production processes, you will soon proceed with the manufacturing and testing of complicated optomechanical assemblies. You will work with the production team. 

 

As of now we are looking for our office in Wallisellen in full-time for an Optomechanical Manufacturing Technician (m/f/d). 

Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten

  • Assemble and precisely align optomechanical parts and laser beams, assemble electronic and vacuum components, and build gas analyzers from the ground up.
  • Perform skilled, fine, and precise manual work with careful, reliable, and responsible execution. Achieve perfect optical alignment iteratively using supporting software. Document results in production reports.
  • Follow assembly instructions provided by in-house experts and independently understand written English assembly guidelines. Step-by-step supervised training will be provided to learn all required production skills.
  • Take responsibility for completed tasks, identify and discuss refinements in the production process with engineers and supervisors to support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing. Improve existing production documentation.
  • Perform inspections on incoming parts, prepare materials for the manufacturing process, and assist with setting up shipping packaging.
  • Work in a cleanroom and ESD-protected environment and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Report to the production manager.
  • Collaborate with engineers on everyday tasks and be flexible to support custom modifications.

Qualifikationen

  • Training, apprenticeship, or degree in a technical field, preferably in micro-mechanics, fine-mechanics, automatics, electronics, opto-mechanics, photonics, or a related area. An engineering degree is not required.
  • Relevant professional experience or apprenticeship in assembly and production for 2+ years
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint necessary for documenting results
  • Ability to communicate comfortably and efficiently in written and spoken English. German is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean 5S manufacturing and experience in handling lasers is nice to have.
  • Passionate about working in a diverse, motivated team and a fast-moving environment.
