    Laboratory Assistant (m/w)


    We are looking for a highly motivated laboratory assistant with experience in cryogenic temperature and superconducting wires and magnets. The main duties include routine processes for the maintenance and operation of cryogenic test facilities along with the required equipment normally present in these laboratories (e.g. vacuum pumps, high current power supplies, cryostats, etc.).

    Additional duties are the operation of laboratory devices to measure electrical properties of superconducting wires and coils in cryogenic environment, including analysis and presentation of the results.

    You will also independently plan, organize and run laboratory experiments in cryogenic environment, according to the requirements discussed with the project leaders.

    Apart from experience, all these tasks require skills in troubleshooting and problem solving, good communication and organization to practically implement and carry-out the experiments efficiently.

    You will also be responsible for caring and handling of devices and substances with chemical and electrical hazards, complying with the quality and safety goals of Bruker.



    • Completed training as laboratory technician (or comparable relevant experience or university degree) in the field of cryogenics and superconductivity
    • Basic knowledge of electronic circuits and inorganic chemistry
    • Good experience in the field of vacuum technology and cryogenics would be an advantage
    • Pragmatic and efficient way of working
    • Ability to work conscientiously, independently and as part of a team
    • Good knowledge of MS Office
    • Good knowledge of German and English languages
