    Our services are usually tailor made, and require an individual offer to the potential customer. This offer needs to be established together with the specialists at InVivo. The position holder will be supported on the technical/scientific side, and the value of his/her contribution should be on the business development/sales side. The skill to identify potential new customers is key, and a deep expertise in molecular biology or cell culture would be a plus.

    In this position, your tasks will include the following:

    • Conduct market research on market size, competitive products (technical and pricing) and customer requirements in the according US market.
    • Create and present business analysis of market opportunity, entry costs and launch plan if favorable.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders within assigned territory.
    • Responsibility to deliver sales revenue goals for respective products.
    • Attend & present products at specific events to generate leads and interest.
    • Work with colleagues in Business Area Microbiology & Diagnostics to share market information, competitor activities, customer feedback, new ideas and experiences to ensure team is briefed and aware of ongoing activities in the region.
    • Collaborate on creation of sales training and collateral materials required for sales channel selected.
    • Visit KOL contacts to establish interest and demand for our products within the US.
    • Provide regular market and product feedback to the InVivo team, so sales tools can be created and updated as required.
    • Prepare reports and notes on customer meetings; keep CRM up-to-date.
    • Achieve sales revenue goals: analyze ongoing performance, identify gaps and propose initiatives to address if they appear.


    • Bachelor level qualification or higher in a Life Science related discipline.
    • Experience in business to business sales.
    • Market research experience.
    • Experience in the IVD industry.
    • Ability to demonstrate a high level of business acumen.
    • The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and potential customers.
    • The ability to negotiate and make scientific (molecular biology, antibody production) presentations to individuals and businesses.
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to learn and retain information quickly.
    • Mobile and willing to travel throughout the US as required.
    • Excellent knowledge of English is required, knowledge of the German language is a plus.
