    Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten

    As Product Manager you are responsible for IR Biotyper, PCR kits and CARE Consumables within the Microbiology and Diagnostics Business Area. The role is global; supporting and managing the entire product throughout the product life cycle from concept to complete solution.

    The products also overlap and site alongside other product & solutions (hardware/ consumables/ libraries/ etc.) within the Business Area and need close cooperation & alignment with other Product Managers, Marketing and Sales Support to achieve the overarching strategic goals for the entire product line and the team.

     

    Specifically, your tasks will include:

    • Manage product lifecycle of products portfolio, incl. the development of effective product launch plans
    • Coordinate pricing & commercialisation plans across product lines
    • Support development of marketing materials, sales and training presentations
    • Provide Sales Support help for products
    • Create and identify business growth opportunities and develop and execute the long-term business plan for the product portfolio
    • Definition and implementation of market relevant product specifications for hardware, software, and chemistries
    • Initiation and management of relevant applications to provide workflow solutions for market segments of high potential growth
    • Identify target marketing activities, align with market segment and commercial management, and prioritize and plan according to annual budget.
    • Assist the achievement of business plan by supplying expert advocacy in support of Commercial Operations by providing scientific and message content for marketing materials and sales tools
    • Gather, evaluate and summarize competitor information and market trends from the region
    • Ensure continual awareness of competitive developments in the field, including attendance and presentations at customer facing events and internal trainings

    Qualifikationen

    • Diploma, Master or PhD degree in natural science or engineering or comparable background
    • Strong marketing and Product Management background and solid technical understanding is mandatory, economical background is beneficial
    • Several years of related experience in a multi-national organization
    • Exceptional and professional written and verbal English communication skills
    • Demonstrated product launch experience; outstanding presentation skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with a global sales force
    • Proven experience driving multiple product launches within the high-tech capital equipment or instrumentation industry
    • Business-oriented and pragmatic person with a strong marketing and product management background
    • Exceptional decision-making ability under a fast-paced environment
    • Pro-active self-starter, results driven, able to work under tight deadlines
    • Effective understanding of financial concepts relating to contractual arrangements
    • Strong attention to detail and very good organizational skills
    • Ability to work well with limited supervision and in a matrix organization
    • Ability to interface with challenging clients, engaging in a constructive manner
    • Experience in problem solving, coordinating cross-functional solutions and responding to non-standard customer requests
    • Strong leadership skills that can drive the organization from a marketing perspective
