The objective will be to develop business from the existing client base and drive sales to new customers. The role will have sales responsibility for the Mass Spectrometry business in the southern or eastern area of Spain in accordance with the company strategy, including mass spectrometry instrumentation, sample preparation robots, bioinformatics software and consumables for the Applied and Life Sciences markets. The primary objectives are to raise the profile of the company in the Applied Markets and Life Sciences community, present and champion the products in a competitive way and ensure customer satisfaction during and post-sale.


  • Find new customers in Applied Markets, Life Sciences and Academia using a variety of tools ranging from personal networking to internet searches. 
  • Qualify potential sales leads by discussion with and understanding of the customer’s needs.
  • Arrange and host customer demonstrations in the different applications centres in Europe (Madrid, Bremen, Paris).
  • Generate quotations and handle relevant tendering processes.
  • Negotiate pricing in collaboration with the parent factory and management.
  • Arrange Exhibitions and Seminars at conferences in the territory.
  • Maintain a relationship with existing customers and assist in post-sale activities.
  • Market observation and analysis, as well as the active reception of customer demands and interests, which may lead to an improvement of our solutions and offerings.
  • Manage the public and private tender submissions


  • BSc or equivalent in Life or Analytical Science with some postgraduate experience, either in industry or during a further qualification.
  • Double competencies in Analytical technologies and Sales is required
  • An understanding of the role of different mass spectrometry techniques in the markets to be served
  • Practical laboratory experience in Mass Spectrometry applied to Life Science and Applied markets will be valuable.
  • The candidate must be an outgoing and likeable individual with a high degree of personal integrity.
  • Conspicuous personal integrity to set a standard by which customers and colleagues can positively differentiate Bruker from its competitors.
  • Self-motivation is essential as is a willingness to work with others toward a shared goal.
  • Well organized and able to decide priorities in a rapidly changing commercial environment.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills; tenacious, has a self-starting approach – comfortable with deadlines.
  • Strong communication and networking skills.
  • Current valid driving license.
  • Spanish as native language; English: reading, writing and speaking fluently it´s a must
  • Others like Portuguese, German or French would be valuable
