    The responsibility of the Bruker-Hain Head of Marketing and Product Management is to manage the Product Lifecycle, marketing activities and head up the local team in Nehren. The role is critical to support the product development to launch activities of new products, as well as support commercial success of the existing portfolio of Molecular Diagnostics products from extraction, thermocycling, readers, software through to the assay kits. With the recent acquisition by Bruker Daltonik, it is critical to coordinate integration tasks affecting existing and new product launch, including labelling new products as Bruker, supporting the customer brand journey from Hain Lifescience to Bruker and align branding as agreed by the Bruker leadership team. Other tasks include manage the marketing budget, explore resource synergies with the Bruker Bremen Marketing team as well as help integration agree design control process into the Product Management team. Creating a strong communication and working relationship with the Bremen marketing team essential to the success of this role.


    Manage Marketing and Product Management team in Nehren:

    • Strategic planning of the entire product portfolio including instrumentation and assay kits. Advice on new product development and product modifications, coordination and planning with research and development, production, sales, quality management and regulatory affairs and senior management
    • Manage planning and coordination of product launches in collaboration with research and development, study department, production, sales, technical writing, support, quality management, regulatory affairs, and purchasing and sales, and senior management
    • Support integration projects: labelling, marketing team synergies, introduction of appropriate design control processes
    • Continuous maintenance and adaptation of the marketing and product management process to legal standards and requirements (e.g. DIN EN ISO 13485).
    • Participation in internal and external audits
    • Definition of the marketing objectives, development of the marketing strategy, as well as organization and control of the marketing measures. Coordination with management and sales management.
    • Strategic planning of the marketing mix of product policy, communication policy, pricing policy and distribution policy to achieve the marketing goals.
    • Planning, managing and controlling the marketing budget
    • Managing marketing material & documentation approval and Audits
    • Conception, design, implementation and adaptation of the corporate design in cooperation with an external advertising agency.
    • Coordination and redesign of product packaging.
    • Conception and implementation of marketing media and promotions. Identification and tracking of the effectiveness of marketing activities.
    • Project management: project approval, project completion, archiving and data management

    Provide Product Management for own product areas in the FluoroType, GenoType product series.

    • Be directly responsible for products in the field of mycobacteria
    • Care of molecular diagnostics throughout the product lifecycle
    • Coordinate product management and marketing interfaces with research and development, study department, production, sales, technical writing, support, quality management, regulatory affairs, purchasing and sales, and senior management.
    • Technical support of the products at the end customer, partly in cooperation with the sales partner.
    • Customer visits and test demonstrations with customers.
    • Training of employees and customers in theory and practice.
    • Creation of editorial contributions, and advertisements and their publication in journals.
    • Product implementation and technical support of the products at the customer in function of a product specialist.
    • Establishment and maintenance of contacts to opinion formers.
    • Execution and evaluation of market and competition analyzes as well as requirement profiles and customer benefit analyses.
    • Creation and implementation of marketing plans for market introduction.
    • Conception and production of marketing materials, product-relevant information material and business equipment in German and English.

    • Good knowledge of microbiology, especially the clinical microbiology laboratory, PCR segments
    • Previous sales experience, especially for products similar to Bruker-Hain MD portfolio would be ideal
    • Ability to promote Bruker-Hain product and services to a variety of prospects and customers.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, sometimes in high pressure environments
    • Understanding of regulatory guidelines for clinical diagnostics
    • Excellent phone/communication skills.
    • Highly organized and able to deliver on projects within agreed timeframes
    • Strong grasp of Marketing, including creating promotional activities, communicating complex technical information in written and verbal form as well writing marketing materials that resonate with customers, etc.


    Education and/or Experience

    BSc in Science (e.g. Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry)

    • Travel expected up to 25% of the time
