Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten

We are looking for a new college with a life science background (preferably within microbiology/molecular biology, or alike) to our small team in the M&D division of the Bruker Nordic Sales Entity, to fill out a new Application Specialist role with commercial targets. We are seeking a self-driven Application Specialist, with a profound service and commercial/result oriented mindset, providing product presentations, trainings and application support to customers for growing the business in Brukers Microbiology & Diagnostics portfolio. We offer a position where you will have influence on your responsibility areas, and the possibility to join the journey in a fast-growing, market-leading area, with a large customer base, high-technical application level, new product launches, and exciting commercial challenges.

 

We imagine that the new Application Specialist role, will be a person who gets the responsiblity for Customer Support to Microbiology Laboratory customers in Scandinavia (mainly MALDI-TOF MS customers), including to educate and empower customers to be successful with the products. This includes a project managment approach for after-sales processes (delivery, onsite trainings, off-site support, etc.), as well as many other possible tasks. A focused training program will be adjusted to your profile. Working for the Nordic Sales Entity is very independent and self-propelled, but you will also work closely with a small team from sales, service and back-office, as well as a network of stakeholders in the Bruker coperation. You have the possiblity to influence the reponsiblities/the profile of the role. Depending on your profile, there will fx be a possiblity to get ownership of driving development projects with customers on new and existing product launches (within PCR, FTIR, etc.). Bruker Nordic Microbiology & Diagnostics (M&D) division is part of the Bruker Nordic AB head office located in Solna, Sweden, covering eight Nordic and Baltic countries. We have employees both in Sweden and Denmark, but it might be an advantage to be located close to the office, or at least close to an airport, as there will be extensive travelling (mainly in Scandinavia). We imagine the role will have minimum 50% field work, but also this depends on your profile. You will report to the M&D Nordic Sales Manager.

 

  • After-sales support to customers provided on the phone, by email and during site visits
    • Support in delivery and installation processes
    • Perform Operator trainings
    • Troubleshooting assistance
    • Follow-up trainings
    • Etc.

 

  • Work in close collaboration with sales to assist in driving sales.
    • Promoting consumable solutions, fx for fast diagnostics of sepsis.
    • Contribute to the biannual customer newsletter, fx creating application videos, writing posts, etc.
    • Co-developing and participating in marketing events, i.e. conferences, seminars, user-meetings, fairs, etc.
    • Handling customer inquiries on products, i.e. consumables.

 

  • Possibility to lead product launch/promotion projects.
    • Lead customer projects in collaboration with Brukers R&D and Product Management, fx to make p-o-p at customer site.
    • Lead comparison studies at customer sites
    • Setup seminars with customers

 

  • Some back office / administrative work should be expected
    • Creating customer cases, communication with order processing, etc.

 

 

 

 

Qualifikationen

  • A structured person with a profound service and result oriented mindset.
  • Life Science background, with minimum a technical or bachelor degree.
  • Advanced experience within microbiology and/or Molecular Biology / typing methods could be a plus
  • Experience with MALDI-TOF MS is a plus
  • Extensive customer service and/or sales experience is a plus
  • Willingness to travel
  • Relevant experience is relevant, but the most important thing is your attitude and willingness to work focused to get results, as we will shape the position to your level
