The R&D department of Bruker Hain in Nehren is responsible for the development of DNA/RNA extraction kits, PCR-based detection kits and hardware as well as software for these extraction and detection systems. Therefore the R&D department is divided into the following specialized teams: Assay development, Liquid Handling, hardware and software. The Assay development team consists on molecular biologists and biochemists. The Liquid handling team consists on molecular biologists, biochemists and chemists Hardware team consists on biologists and engineers. Software team consists on programmer and biologists. 


  • Development of molecular genetic detection test systems (PCR based)
  • Planning, coordinating, monitoring, documentation and presentation of development projects
  • Planning and monitoring of analytical and clinical studies
  • Organisation of the Level 2 lab in Nehren
  • Supervision of technical personnel


  • Successfully completed degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or Biotechnology
  • Virological background and experience in handling viruses of risks group 2
  • Experience in Real-Time PCR and/or Multiplex-PCR
  • Experience in DNA/RNA extraction methods
